Stronger back, more flexibility while bending over

Work on strengthening your back so you can do garden work and other chores without having to kneel

Exercise step by step

  1. Objective: Strengthening the back so you can do garden work without kneeling.
  2. Starting Position: Place a weight in front of your feet. Spread your legs apart so your feet are under your hips. Bend your knees slightly while remaining upright.
  3. Movement: Round your back and slowly and carefully bend forwards while rolling your spine one vertebra at a time.
Lift the weight, unrolling your spine like a string of pearls, then stand with the weight in your hands.
    Repeat 2 sets of 12.
